Calling All Educators:
Free K-12 Teacher Professional Development

Monmouth Conservation Foundation is proud to be a part of the Expanding Access to Climate Change Education and the New Jersey Student Learning Standards (NJSLS) through Climate Change Learning Collaboratives (CCLC) grant awarded in 2024 to Monmouth University by the New Jersey Department of Education.

Now in its second year, the CCLC program is a statewide effort to prepare NJ K-12 teachers to teach climate change in developmentally appropriate ways across all grade levels and subject areas. Numerous professional development opportunities exist through regional universities and non-profit partners.

Do you know a K-12 educator seeking to develop their lessons on climate change?  Our Director of Educational Outreach, Doug Caum, is hosting two free-of-charge experiential learning opportunities in the field to support this new statewide curriculum. Trainings are being offered in July 2025 in Mercer and Union Counties by MCF as a sub-grantee on the Expanding Access to Climate Change Education and the New Jersey Student Learning Standards (NJSLS) through Climate Change Learning Collaboratives (CCLC) grant awarded in 2024 to Monmouth University by the New Jersey Department of Education.
